The Best Subshops in Springfield

Head West:
With there combination of fresh ingredients and homemade sweet bread this is the obvious number 1. Plus the local-hipster vibe is refreshing in the world where chains kill vibes. They offer both toasted and cold subs.
Monty's:
Monty's makes very similar sanwiches to Headwest. They offer hot and cold subs on a sweet bread that is very similar to Headwest's. Monty's was around before Headwest, but it seems it's younger brother has beat it out for number 1 sub shop.
Penn Station:
Our first chain restaurant, offers hot and cold subs. They're bread does not compare to our number 1 or 2's, but they make up for that with awesome fries. Penn Station is a little pricey, and that's why they fall to number three in the list.
Jersey Mike's:
Jersey Mike's is a "West Coast Subshop" that offers delicous subs for a reasonable price. They offer hot and cold subs, and a awesome philly cheese. Awesome service by the guys who work there and good ingredients make for a number four on the list.
Jimmy John's :
If you are looking for a very quick and satisfying sub, this is the place to go. They have a very limited menu, but they make up for it by offering freky fast service. Their meals are also very cheap and filling. The major negative that Jimmy John's has is their bread. It's not very tasty, but it gets the job done. But, they do have the pellet ice and the best cherry coke mix in town. So, if you're a soda drinker this might be the place for you.
Firehouse Subs:
A very similar subshop to Penn Station that "specialize" in hot subs. They run about the same price as Penn Station, but the sandwiches and bread are not up to par compared to the others.
Subway:
Subway ranks up the bottom of the list for many reasons. The quality of bread and ingredients have been declining for the past several years. Their sandwiches rarely look presentable and have seemed to add less ingredients everytime I go. Also, evry location in Springfield has seemed to given up on keeping their floors and store looking presentable. The food is alright, but only as a last choice.
Quiznos:
Unfortunately, I have never been to Quiznos. This is in part because of it's poor location off Veterans and Lawrence. But, I can't pass my personal judgement on it, but I've heard from sources that it is very good, and the Honey Bacon Club is delicoius. So, try at your own risk.
